WIZnet will introduce the first IPv4/IPv6 dual stack chip W6100
WIZnet will be exhibiting at the Embedded World conference in Nuremberg this February again (Booth # Hall 3 – 203). Here company will introduce the first IPv4/IPv6 dual stack chip W6100 – newest modules with very competitive pricing that is half the price of previous module pricing.
Western European countries already started to limit providing IPv4 addresses to consumers and industries; instead recommend using IPv6 addresses. The new W6100 will be an ideal solution to support both the existing IPv4 and new IPv6 addresses for embedded devices W6100 is an IPv4/IPv6 dual stack supported chip that integrates 10Base-T/]100Base-Tx Ethernet PHY and Ethernet MAC Controller as well as protocol layers such as TCP, UDP, IPv4, IPv6, ICMPv4, ICMPv6, IGMP, ARP, and PPPoE. W6100 represents a big step forward for WIZnet as the one-chip solution for the IPv6-based IoT market. In order to satisfy the customers in the rapidly growing IoT market, WIZnet has also decreased the average pricing of the new modules to half the price of the older modules.
